Gift From Beyond

Leoni Saunders suffered a great loss. The baby which should have been hers to have. Hold. Keep for her very own for many years never made his way into her life. He had died before he was born. Never had a chance to breathe the air on this earth before he was taken away from her. She mourned her loss alone. Her husband had been killed in the car accident. The same accident which had caused Leoni to loose her precious son before she had a chance to hold him. Deep pain within left a massive hole in her life. An empty hole. One where her heart should be full of love for her husband, and son. She had nothing left of her once happy life. Depression began to set in wit a vengeance. No longer was she able to be surrounded by her friends, and family. They didn't understand her loss. She was drowning in their sympathy. There had to be a way to deal with her empty life. Her family had been wiped out. Sitting around the house pinning away dragged her deeper into a hole deeper th

Evolving Tomato Plant

The years rolled by but the pain never seemed to diminish. Stella couldn't fight off the depression which had settled in her life. Her devoted family had been supportive. Joyful. Until the abysmal day their daughter,Sue Ellen, went missing on the prairie. Sue Ellen had wandered away from her home while her mother had been busy working in the garden. When Sue Ellen was born she'd become the apple of her mother's eye. She had golden curls. Her eyes brighter than the blue of the ocean. She had the look of an angel. Sue Ellen brought much joy to her family. On the fateful day in June with the ghostly mist rolling over the prairie, Stella looked up from her work. She searched for Sue Ellen but she no longer played where she had been, when Stella began her work. Stella dropped her garden fork from her lifeless fingers. “ Sue Ellen. Sue Ellen.” Stella ran between all the flower beds trying to find her daughter. Sue Ellen didn't answer her mother's call. S

Florence's Tree

Florence Foster sat in her wooden rocking chair. At the age of ninety-two, she passed her time sitting in the lounge room looking out the window. She sat in the same place every day soaking up the sun. Sandy, her great Dane, lay relaxed on the floor beside the rocking chair listening for any trouble, which might cause his mistress any stress. His head rested on the feet of Florence. Florence looked up from her crocheting. She watched two men walk around the very old, shady tree, which grew on the footpath in front of her house. The men carried a chainsaw, an axe, rake, and shovels. A back hoe was parked on the other side of the road. Florence put down her crocheting. She reached for her walking stick. Standing. She shuffled from the lounge room, down the passageway to the front doorway. She stood there to watch the men while they measured the girth of the tree. She didn't like the way the men sized up the tree. Florence, with Sandy hot on her heels, follo

Baby Surprise

Father Anthony Dunn was a sly character. He had grey hair but he hit it with a multitude of sins. The Father had passed himself off as sixty years old but anyone with a keen eye, and a good judge of character, had been able to see the truth. In his family all the male members hair turned grey around the age of thirty years of age. Maybe this was from all the worry from all the scams they pulled. The looking back over their shoulders to see if the police were hot on their trail. Or someone, who they had crossed swords with, and were out to kill them. To keep his body lead, and fit,, Anthony, worked out at the gym every day he had a chance. He ran most days so he'd be able to increase his speed to keep ahead of the people who were after his hide. If he hadn't kept fit Anthony may have been found shot, or bashed to death, in some back alley. Or someone might have given his a pair of cement shoes before sending him down to swim with the fish. Most of Anthony Dunn's f
